Sorelle is now free of Tritus’ tyranny, but Bella’s mission isn’t over. She must go to the Land of Gods to retrieve her stolen friends and save her mother from imminent execution. Upon her arrival, Bella discovers that the High Council of Gods has long been corrupt and the people of the realm are in need of change.

But the High Council has sinister plans for Bella now that her true heritage is known. They will stop at nothing to gain advantage over her power, especially their leader, Valnar.

Valnar wants to force Bella into proving her worth by fighting in a tournament against demons. If she succeeds, he will offer her a seat of her own on the High Council, provided she marry his son, Eryx.

Bella has a plan of her own, however. She will pretend to agree to Valnar’s terms, for every victory she makes will inspire the lesser gods to make a stand. After winning the tournament, instead of marrying Eryx, she will wipe out the corrupt gods and fill the seats herself with those she trusts to change the laws for the betterment of the people.

What Bella is not prepared for is the unavoidable pull she feels toward Eryx, who is hiding many secrets of his own...
